A Grandiose Fanfare is a captivating Technical Art Exhibit created by renowned Hong Kong Artist, Gaybird Leung. The exhibit features a collection of 30 autonomous instrument devices that come together to create a symphony of sound and visual spectacle.
As the Embedded Software Engineer for this project, my role was to design the electronic schematics and develop the software systems that powered these mesmerizing instruments. I implemented a robust network communication system that allowed seamless coordination between the devices, ensuring precise timing and synchronization of the musical performances.
In addition to the network communication system, I also developed a sophisticated motion sync system that enabled the instruments to move in perfect harmony, creating a visually stunning experience for the audience. Leveraging my expertise in embedded C programming, TCP protocols, and motor control, I crafted an autonomous system that allowed the instruments to perform their intricate melodies with precision and flair.
The impact of A Grandiose Fanfare was truly awe-inspiring, attracting over 20,000 visitors who were captivated by the immersive and interactive nature of the exhibit. Through my technical contributions, I played a crucial role in bringing this artistic vision to life, creating an unforgettable experience that blended technology, art, and music in a truly grandiose fashion.
